CSUSM Softball took on Azusa Pacific University, Saturday, allowing no runs in both games of the doubleheader.

The Cougars took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning of game one, where they would tack on three more to secure the victory.

In game two, the Cougars had one of the more impressive pitching outings of the season from freshman, Brenna Sandberg, who gave up only two hits, leading CSUSM to a 4-0 win.

Sandberg improved upon her already impressive numbers from the mound, and now is 5-2 with a 1.79 ERA. The Cougars go into the Sun West Tournament at Chapman University on March 8 with 12-6 record on the season and a 2-0 conference record.
