3/5/08 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

An unknown suspect removed a CD player, 40G Apple IPod, and 10 CD's from an unlocked vehicle in Lot C.

3/2008

A staff member at UVA received an annoying and harassing e-mail with obscenities. UPD is still investigating pending further leads.

3/7/08 8 a.m.

Dean of students called UPD to assist in a threat assessment. UPD determined the student not to be a threat to self or others, and referred student to counseling.

3/6/08

In Lot F, a student returned to vehicle 9:15PM, and discovered a forced entry to locked vehicle. The parking permit was stolen, along with CDs, damage was done to interior lights, and canvas top was cut.

3/8/08 9:30 p.m.

UPD received a report of a possible sighting of a person pulling a gun from waistband at the Clark Field House. The shiny object turned out to be an IPod.

3/10/08 1 p.m.

In Lot N, a student returned to parked car and found damage to the left rear of cab door. Suspect believed to be driving a white Ford pick up truck. UPD appreciates any witnesses coming forward.

In Science Hall I Rm. 317, an individual found that an IPod and laptop were missing after left unattended for a short amount of time. Any info, contact UPD

3/11/08

UPD reported to UVA for medical emergency. They found an individual who had taken an unknown amount of prescription meds that was breathing but unresponsive. San Marcos Fire transported the individual to Palomar hospital for treatment and evaluation.

3/12/08 2:31 a.m.

On Twin Oaks, an officer observed an SUV traveling at excessive speed and weaving lanes. After further investigation, the driver was booked in to jail for DUI under age 21, and vehicle towed.

3/11/08

Parking permit stolen from an unlocked 1975 Chevy parked in Lot F.

3/13/08 noon

Student Health requested UPD assistance with a student acting unusual. The student was transported to Palomar hospital for 72 health evaluation.

3/14/08 1:15 a.m.

On Campus Way and Campus View Drive, an officer stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at the stop sign. UPD cited the driver for possession of dangerous fireworks, driving on suspended license, and stop sign violation.

3/16/08 midnight

During a routine security check at the foundation building, an officer encountered a male and female in possession of meth and glass pipes.

3/17/08

A cougar watch sign was discovered tagged with a possible gang moniker.

3/18/08 10 a.m.

Parking services reported a suspicious vehicle in Lot H, a 1983 Mercedes Benz with keys still in the ignition. Officers locked the vehicle and secured keys at department.
